Site Accessibility
CapitalOneArenaSuites.com is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability. We aim to adhere as closely as possible to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0, Level AA), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make Web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly to everyone. While we strive to adhere to the guidelines and standards for accessibility, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website and we are currently working to achieve this. Be aware that due to the dynamic nature of the website, minor issues may occasionally occur as it is updated regularly. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility.

This guide is intended to highlight some of the features available at Capital One Arena for guests with disabilities.

Capital One Arena is happy to provide escorts/transports with wheelchairs inside the arena for guests with disabilities or special needs. This service can be requested at Guest Services or as you enter the building (by speaking with any Capital One Arena Team Member) at all entry points.
Sensory Inclusion
In 2019, Capital One Arena was recognized as becoming a Sensory Inclusive Venue. The Sensory Inclusive initiative is designed to assist public attractions and facilities better entertain guests that might have sensory needs and/or processing issues. A sensory need/sensory processing issue is one where the guest affected by this finds noises, smells, lights and even crowds not only overwhelming from the sensory perspective but also sometimes physically painful. Because of this, these guests often find themselves isolated from the community.
Sensory bags containing special KCVIP badges, fidget tools, noise canceling headphones and other resources are available for checkout (at no cost to the patron, you simply need to check out by leaving an ID) at Guest Services near Section 102, Guest Services near Section 402, the Nursing Mother’s Room at Suite 215, and on the Suites Level near Suite 341.
Restrooms
All public restrooms are accessible to our patrons with disabilities. Capital One Arena also has family bathrooms on each level located across from section 114, across from section 215, and across from section 400 (at the top of the F street escalator).
Service Animals
Capital One Arena welcomes disabled guests who need the use of a dog as a service animal when the dog has been individually trained or is in training to do work or perform tasks for the guest. Comfort animals are not allowed in Capital One Arena. Guests using a service animal will be responsible for the animal’s care and supervision when present at Capital One Arena. We recommend that the Office of Accessible Seating and Services be contacted to purchase accessible seating or be notified prior to the event if special accommodations are needed for service animals.

Upon request, Capital One Arena can provide sign language interpreters for guests with hearing disabilities. Requests for this service must be received 21 days prior to the event. Please call 202-661-5065 for assistance.
